High Adventure Program

Trimble County was the first to bring the High Adventure Program to Kentucky back in 2010.  And has paved the way for several other counties to start other wilderness programs in their county.  Since then, we have held camping trips and classes on backpacking, wilderness survival, pitching a tent, purifying, fire building, basic first aid and so much more.  Our High Adventure Program has held several overnight camping trips, a kayaking trip down the Kentucky River and even a couple day hikes around Kentucky.

If your child is interested in learning wilderness survival, this is a great opportunity for them to increase their skills, and give them a better chance at survival if they are ever faced with this circumstance.

Previously this program has only been offered to High School students since the backpacking aspect is so physical and demanding.  However, we are looking into starting a more beginner level for the younger students ages 9 -14.
